WebJan 12, 2005 · edelbrock heads are much cheaper than 1700 dollars. probably around 1250 to 1300. but they max out at with a 5.75 lift cam. to get 500 hp, you will prob need more cam than that. unless you plan on going to high comp with racing fuel. but on your budget i doubt you will see 500 hp. so the edelbrocks might be worth looking into.
