WebJan 2, 2015 · During the 1990s, many countries introduced Active Labour Market Programmes (ALMPs) in an effort to reduce unemployment. The introduction of ALMPs is often motivated by the need to upgrade the skills of especially those suffering long-term unemployment to improve their productivity and, subsequently, their employability. WebThis study shows that active labour market policies (ALMPs) on the country-level are associated with differences in learning attitudes at the individual level. ALMPs aim to actively integrate people into the labour and contribute to economic growth and social inclusion (Morel, Palier, and Palme 2012 ).
